Some of them are essential and they do a good job (i.e. police). I have run into some that have a service ethic and are conscientious (to be fair). However, we have these clowns in places like the EPA who sit around and make onerous regulations because that is what they do. A portion of them have an agenda such as quotas, climate change or dumbing down the educational system.
