Maintenece requirement is usually 5% of equity. Since the value doesn't change (position is neutral) I don't see how you'd get a margin call.

Since you have the shares long, I'd think that the broker would have at least that many to lend.

I saw the misprint trade on PCQuote. Really those happen all the time, just not so far out of the trading range. I still have an IRA at Waterhouse.
