rr, i haven't been tracking dram too closely as i refuse to underestimate the sheer stupidity of the investing public again.

however, the math is simple. reduce mu's net cost about 10% to $4.20+- a little. then plug in the q's asp - which i can't guess right now.

then multiply by 110 million chips to get a net loss. if asps are around $3.20, then mu loses $0.50 a share.

inventories may continue to build so they may be holding back and not shipping hoping for better pricing. who knows. but that is probably a rough guess.

remember, mu said to expect another $30 mil per q for deprctn and amortzn going forward. that is $0.15 a share added to losses.

i think mu loses more than $0.30 per share as a swag - and i bet i'm closer than the analists.
