Hi Mr. B.,

I found this while I was reading old NANO news release tonight. Take a read:

News on June 3, 1997

biz.yahoo.com

"''We are delighted at the acceptance of the NanoSpec 8300X by the equipment manufacturing community, as well as the I300I and SELETE consortia. We are proud to play an important role in the semiconductor industry's transition from 200mm to 300mm wafer production, and anticipate that the early exposure of the system to IC device manufacturers will put Nanometrics in a strong position when initial 300mm fab equipment purchases start, as anticipated, at the end of this year.''

Looks like they are getting some indication that the 8300X modle will gradually increase from this point on. Just hope the SE Asia problem did not spoil it. However, I believe the worst case is some delay which does not change my investment decision on NANO. Good luck. Is there any info from PN?

Sincerely,
Wade
