Bank reform announcement having a positive effect in Indo. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of some serious changes leading to more stability in the country.

Just got this...

"In Asia, the Indonesian rupiah strengthened against the dollar in early trade after news of government banking reforms and rate hikes in central bank certificates, dealers said.

The spot rupiah was quoted at 12,500/13,200 at 0255 GMT against Monday's closing bid of 14,100. Jakarta's composite stock index opened up 10.30 points, or 2.17 percent, at 483.98 as investors reacted positively to the reforms."
