joser- regarding SO WALK .... and monkey minds and dropping it and moral ledgers and continually being in the present moment ..... i think it depends a whole lot on where you find yourself on the living and dying scale. if i see it that way... it tells me i haven't yet completed step one in the checklist, connecting and identifying with the universal, immortal, all encompassing "Self" with the BIG "S". ...the ONEness step. there is no living/dying scale at that level... everything's alive forever and I AM it. if i can't get to that ONEness then the checklist is moot and i might as well skip to the last step -- KINDNESS -- and just believe it on blind faith in my grandmother's wisdom. blind faith doesn't work for me at the ego level. i always have to test truths against my own experience - and prove it to my ego-self which is, of course, in the realm/level of duality. quite the paradox, eh? and that's all i'm gonna say about that. what if i engaged you further and asked another question about it? <g> does what i said above make sense? does it clarify anything about how and why i use the checklist and what value i might derive from it? i use the Chill app the same way. it reminds me to watch breath and step out of the duality (separate) identity of my ego... at LEAST until take-off, when i usually return to playing the game of life in the realm of duality with the amoral values of non-duality. is that fair? ha ha. (isn't "amoral values" an oxymoron?) soooo... all the above is bla bla-ing in duality realm at the level of my ego talking to your ego. if i were to respond on the level of non-dualism i would probably change the method of communication from the written word (following scientific and linguistic rules of educational engagement) to poetry, music, art or sports. you do that very well with your art all the time and i lovett. Home Before Dark is his personal motto and daily promise to his wife as a pilot. he gave that title to the photo when he texted it to me. nice shot, eh? just LOOK at it... and you KNOW... it HAS to be TRUE (with the BIG "T"). <g> you likey? love, -polvie
