Mike it is sort of confusing to say the deal with PacificCorp was scrapped, since there never was any deal with PacificCorp re. yr 2k work.

I don't remember anyone here ever claiming the contrary.

Jenkins did say during the conf. call that Tpro had been exploring a year 2k utility offering with PacificCorp and that PacificCorp decided that they weren't interested in it for the reason you've given. So I assume that's the "deal" you are talking about.

But that was the first and the last we ever heard anything about it.
So I wouldn't call it a deal.

There is still an alliance with PacificCorp for other SI work.

As described in the fy 97 10 k that alliance "addresses the joint development of business in automating utility and industrial power distribution substations. The alliance combines the automation technology and know-how of Topro with the
utility specific experience and know-how of the PacifiCorp engineering resources."

According to Jenkins, in the last conference call, that alliance is alive and gathering momentum.

Unless I have missed something that alliance is still going strong.

Also Tpro, during the last conference call, did say they were pursuing development of yr 2k utility product with a company recommended by PacificCorp.
I don't recall hearing anything further about that one way or the other.

This specific aside, I agree there is a good deal of one sided propaganda on this site.

Mike: From what I've seen, you would have people on this board believe you rather than their own eyes--as in your claim that the TPRO/BMY announcement has nothing to do with y2k.

As CK is usually quite careful, can you please point out the "propaganda" you refer to?
