For example, did the antibodies that were detected by the German study actually come from COVID-19? Or were they from some other virus that is closely related to COVID-19?

This is one study.

Agreed. Stanford is performing one now in the Bay Area as well. There will be thousands of these studies as time goes on and I expect the actual mortality rate will be close to that found in the German study. I hope you aren't a party to the group believing the mortality rate = deaths/positive tests as the wackos here believe.
