Well that is exactly what nutrition rich in minerals over a long period of time does.
Changes slightly the body pH

Therefore the difference in taste of various foods of same ingredients (e.g. meet as an example)

If you are doing this at home, however,

how does one figure out how much cinchona tea (and how to arrive at that) will give you the target pH? And how to avoid that level which starts to cause the cardiac issues. I recall reading that quinine can do that, and it has something to do with electrical signals. So someone with timing problems (e.g., the left bundle branch block --- or is it the right .... I am not sure) will have to worry, it seems. Maybe other things too. So many unknowns. But it's a solution where we otherwise have none at home. I am always in favor of at-home solutions. If I never have to see a Dr. I would be happy. :)

Perhaps Dr Voodoo has an answer.

This article addresses the issue quite specifically in relation to the variability of coronavirus responses to varying pH... reducing the pH sensitivity down to a couple of known base pairs in a specific site.

What that suggests... is that a fairly simple study of the genome of this particular bug... should be all that's needed to get a pretty good idea whether this virus falls into that camp... with a high sensitivity to weak bases... or not.

It also answers the question, with a simple look at the identified address... whether or not hydroxychloroquine is likely to be an effective drug.
