A beautiful piece of art, painting, music and nature are much more worth that a "fistful of USD" or so called precious metals. Food you can grow or hunt and keep yourself fit. Hoarding metals only destroys your health make you worry who will steal or confiscate it and there is no pleasure to suit your soul from that.

So having the liberty to watch a classic piece of music or opera or able going swimming in the sea or fish gives more pleasure than trying to hold on to my hoard of gold or try to brag about my platinum or gold which may be kept in a far away super-safe safe unreachable when in need.
