RB, Seth, Jack, ELK, Juanita and all. I have read your posts throughout the day and I have seen some VERY VERY good points made. I will be the first to agree that defending territory from an enemy is much easier than gaining it back. I never knew until today how many people were frustrated and sick of sifting through the garbage. I also can see why we have to make our points at times. It's those times when we don't have to that I don't see. This is NOT a knock against anybody. RB personally, I'd cannonize you and some of the others here that have put up with so much for so long. I don't believe ANYBODY who responded to me today was for a minute saying "BUH-BYE" to this thread. However, they were VERY clear in saying they're sick and tired of the garbage and only wish to post where we don't have to argue. Utopia? Not in the least and I think we know there will be heated discussions WHEREVER we go. HOWEVER, there IS a line that must be drawn at times and that is what we did. I want to stress that it is not the intention of myself or anybody who joined the e-mail list to alienate anyone except for . . . So to all who read this thread to prove these intentions are honorable, I sent the following after putting the list together: Thank you to everyone who responded!!! There are a little over 50 people on this list and the requests keep coming in, I've never cut and pasted so much in my life!!! LOL!!! It is not my intention to take people away from the SI thread or to start a revolution. I share your frustrations with the "garbage" as of late. I encourage everyone here to continue reading the SI board and contributing to it (as I will) as this list will burn out after time (especially when FTEL rockets to the moon!!!). The only advantage of posting here to each other, is that we will hopefully not have VALUESPEC and Jean to argue with. Which means, BETTER USE OF ALL OUR TIME!!!!!!!! I do feel however there are certain guidelines we might follow to ensure a moral and respectable discussion so the same doesn't happen here as it has on the SI Board of FTEL. Here they are: 1. This is not MY forum. It is EVERYBODY'S who joined. 2. We're adults and belittling of anyone isn't warranted. Let's all try to respect each other's opinions and views. 3. HONEST questions with HONORABLE intentions are not the same as naysaying and pessimism. False hype is just as wrong. 4. The resources of THIS list are not as vast as those on the SI thread of FTEL. So then, it is safe to say that ALL questions here may not be answerable until you do your DD and report back to us. 5. This list will be forwarded to everyone on it everytime an e-mail is sent, so therefore, ask/discuss/inform ONLY pertinent things regarding FTEL or we'll all have a "New Mail" list in our boxes everyday a mile long. 6. VERY IMPORTANT, make certain the subject line is "FTEL" or your response may get deleted with the tons of junk mail we all get rid of each day. Make it stand out. 7. Let us all remember we have to trust each other not to give our addresses out to anybody else (especially those who were trying to get away from)without permission from that person or the group. We have to stick together. Legitimate friends/family members and those interested in FTEL I'm sure are fine. 8. If one of the undesirables gets through our enemy lines, delete him/her from the list and forward a message to all of us so we can update our address book as well. They might continue to send, BUT, all you have to do is delete THEIR e-mail. Were in this together as long as we make it last. Let's keep it as best as possible! 9. Lastly a request from a couple of people on the FTEL thread, and a good one at that!! Creating an e-mail forum to get away from the likes of those spoiling the SI thread of FTEL is a serious matter that should be looked into by the owners at the Silicon Investor corporate. I URGE YOU TO CONTACT THE WEBMISTRESS AT: webmistress@techstocks.com AND TELL HER YOU JOINED THIS FORUM FOR SUCH REASONS. Please mention VALUESPEC and Jean Sutherland. Thank you again to all of us for pooling together. TOGETHER, WE WILL ACHIEVE THE EXTRAORDINARY!!!!!!
