Taro, that's the correct way to think. It's not brutal. What is brutal and short sighted is when rich people in charge of countries do the politically expedient thing of shutting economies down instead of doing the harder thing of telling the citizens to calm down, that totalitarianism is not the answer, that shutdowns that put millions into poverty is worse than the virus. Kudos to Sweden and Taiwan for being among the VERY few who did the right thing using logic and rationality, instead of joining in the mass hysteria of the snowflake generation.
