sky will be falling once 96 trigger is broken... great calls dan... overall im bearish, but "bearish" is a relative word.. bearish to me is when the stock doesn't go up... i would classify IBM as upmost bearish when 96 is broken. yesterday's 99 break (minor support) is not a good sign.

ibm down.. will retest 96 VERY SOON.. there will be struggle at the 96 support, my gut feeling is that we will see 92... but we will see.

hope everyone sees the value of TA... TA can be applied to any time frame you want.. you can daytrade, shorterm trade, longterm investors can use Ta as welll.. as you move out to longer term perspecitve, TA/trends are easier to spot... TA is not 100% perfect, but as you saw in IBM's case, the price/volume movements signals were SEEN before earnigns were announced even.. and of course, it's always good to see the psychology.. people saying " no way, it's BIG BLUE".. "not IBM, it can't go down".. then the news comes out, and then everyone starts getting bearish.. you stick to your system/chart. it will tell you 80-90% everything that you need.. it will tell you entry/exit/outlook/risk/rewards.. aren't those 5 components the essence of trading/investing? why use anything else? wow, look at this article talking about the aptiva or some new product by ibm.. my feeling is : who cares? your in the stock on price gains./loss. whatever news (good / bad) will be seen in price.. price will move according to the news. price will look 6 months in advance.. price will show sentiment. price will show insider selling/buying.. price is key (and volume).. FA is great.. but can you tell you what to do NOW? you're basing your decisions to act upon NOW.. TA will tell you that.. FA will not.. just my feelings.. just sharing some thoughts.
