On the contrary. My home in the dem city/state is about 3 times as expensive and 3 times smaller than my rural home. It has nothing to do with low rent. That's just what it's like to live in a densely populated city vs rural places. It goes with the territory. My reference to dem city/state is more along the lines that the Democrats tend to run cities and states in a far more irresponsible way fiscally speaking. Witness Governor Newsome in CA giving taxpayer money away to illegals who don't pay taxes. So we end up with services that are underfunded and that includes hospitals and medical stockpiles. Then because they are underfunded, they needed to worry far more about flattening the curve, because their hospitals are always on the brink of disaster, so they are far more draconian in their actions. You see how bad management of an economy can lead to more and more destruction of freedoms? It's always the same. That's why when the shit hits the fan, I prefer to go hide in the more conservative states that are a bit better managed economically. Better for my health and better for my ability to exercise freedoms. Why do you think when the shit hit the fan in China, they fled to the US and Canada? And I don't mean COVID. The Chinese rich have been exercising birth citizenship tourism and exporting their wealth to the US and Canada and Europe for a long time, because they know Communists confiscate wealth and freedoms. We see that within the US on a smaller scale with Americans moving from socialist states towards states with more freedoms and more capitalism. Look. Like it or not, there has been a mass exodus from California and New York due to very high taxes and mismanagement of services and infrastructure. Whereas, states like Texas have seen a massive influx. This is no accident. People vote with their wallets and with their desire to be left alone with their freedoms. I'm no different.
