ELNK.. today's New America page of IBD helps boost this stock today. .....The company thinks its strong customer service record accounts for its turnover rate of about 4%, one of the industry's lowest. In its September '97 issue, PC Magazine chose EarthLink and privately owned Prodigy as the two best Internet services, based on performance and features. EarthLink's broad subscriber base makes if a prime acquisition target, some analysts say. Furman Selz estimates EarthLink lost about $2.97 per share in '97 compared with a $4.38 loss in '96. Revenue should rise 139% to about $79 million in '97, he projects. Analysts expect EarthLink to lose $2.95 a share in '98. the company COULD earn 86 cents a share in '99.

Many Stocks on the earnings list were buys: CTEC, ALNK, FFD,DIGI,MTW,CELL BOL was a buy upgraded but I did not get in... WATCHING: SAVLY, WNDR, CPU ANLT, MTW, MLG, ATW all beat estimates. Our list of projected winners are doing quite well. CELL ;Fourth quarter net sales increased 76%

CIEN: This is really interesting. Down huge today on news of competition from Lucent. Seems irrationally severe. You may want to check the chart for a daytrade later today or tomorrow. CJ.
