Thomas Sowell is one of the primary people the right wing often sites and he smart, but is a rare fellow. He is like the right wing scientists who do not believe in evolution or global warming. There are a few but they are in the minority.. And he is well educated, but his ideas of say "supply side" economics are not respected by most economists and has been found dead wrong and are not taught as valid at most universities. Is it too hard to find just five? I know it is. I can name five liberal intellectuals in 10 seconds. In fact I could list Democratic intellectuals non stop for a long time they are so numerous. According to the PEW poll 51% of scientists call themselves liberal and 80% lean democratic and only 6% are Republicans. Why is that do you think so few scientists are Republicans? And if you see Trump as better than Biden, that astounds me, but is normal for conservatives. I don't like Biden either, but he is 10,000 times better than Trump. The Democratic party is becoming very progressive very quickly, led by the women and young and with Biden there will be enough new Dems to push Biden to the left. If Trump wins this nation will be just destroyed. Please vote for Biden. If you vote for Trump and he wins that is like voting for a mafia boss to run our country and will take us further into fascism; and he can keep putting terrible right wing judges in and our kids will have to deal with right wing courts for much of their lives and it will destroy the nation. As far as legal abortion goes, it is the law of the land. The states rights argument has been used by the right wing for a long time to try and keep racism intact. <<Thomas Sowell is as right wing as they come and he is quite intellectual. I can mention others, but it is not important as long as you are presenting your view as opinion and not as fact. These parties are groups or tribes, composed of many disparate elements that don't mix very well. But the Republicans are more unified in their tribe than Democrats are. I heard that 10% of Bernie Sander's supporters voted for Trump in the last election. And many others voted for Jill Stein or another alternative candidate. I will not vote for Joe Biden. Actually, I like Trump more than Biden. Although I am pro choice, I have no problem with states like Alabama and MS outlawing abortion if that's what the vast majority of their residents want. I just wouldn't live there or directly support their economy. I have a dream of single payer universal healthcare or Medicare for all and Joe Biden and the corporate Dems are a big disappointment. The best way I know of to stick it to the Biden wing of the Dem Party is to vote for Trump and then vote Dem in the house and Senate races to ensure that the Biden wing of the party and Trump get thwarted on their goals. I am quite serious about possibly doing this. I do not like Obamacare or Trump and want both to be defeated in their objectives and goals. Above all, I want to live to see the day that a progressive gets elected. And that day will be pushed further back if Biden wins.Is fond
