It is true that all the Republicans care about these days is increasing profits for Corporate America and the top 1%. And they will do this at the expense of the working class American and destroy the environment. Their base is part Evangelical so they will cowtow to that element also. You won't get any arguments from me there. But the proper response to all this was to nominate a candidate who supports the working class. Look at all the States the Dems have lost as a result of moving to the Center and becoming another Corporate Party: West Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, PA, Wisconsin, MI, TN, AK. Yes, I know some of these states use to be battleground states and solidly Democratic, but are now mostly in the Republican camp. Let's see how PA, WI and MI turn out. Keep in mind, Trump almost won MN. That's what happens when you elect a corporate candidate who is a hawk.
