In Danielle diMartino’s video interview, she makes the extraordinary claim that the trade deal contains a deviously inserted ‘pandemic’ clause allowing China to back out of the obligation to purchase USA agricultural and other goods. The deal was signed on January 15, at a time when the USA certainly knew of the problems in Wuhan.

I looked for the pandemic clause. Couldn’t find it. There is a typical unforeseen circumstances clause (the Chinese are atheists so ‘Act of God’ presumably was out of the question), but it applies to both parties.

The video interview is otherwise good to very good, though I now have questions about her veracity. I have no idea how someone could have made such a statement without first checking the text of the document. Perhaps I missed it, but I don’t think so.
