"I'm sure the protests didn't cause that 'spike',"

I think the incubation period is up to 14 days, so it will be a while before we see if the protests had a medical effect.

LOL. This is junk science. They are making spurious correlations. What does that tell us? Basically, that the reporter of that article was a biased hack and was definitely using junk science to bludgeon people. It's why they call it Fake News.

As to letting local cities and states decide how to deal with the virus, I couldn't agree more. It is exactly consistent with our Constitution. Trump was correct to handle it that way, except when he got mad and said he had total authority to re-open the economy. You know I am on the side of opening up as soon as possible, although I do prefer antibody tests to be widely available, then let people decide based on their tests what they want to do. But no, Trump does not have absolute authority under our Constitution over states on the re-opening question. He has considerable power, but not total authority over states. Nor would I want him or any President to have that authority. We have a balance of power for a reason and that's to avoid authoritarianism. In these turbulent times, the more we checks and balances on power we have, the better. Looks at how the liberals flout the law and even have perverted the FBI in their grasp for power. It's a good think we have checks and balances in so many places.
