Unfortunately we have to open up and yes there will be more cases. We need to allow people to make their own choices. The vulnerable can still stay home and those that socialize will need to be masked up and distanced. We might as well get started now with near empty hospitals in California. Georgia opening this week will be a good indicator. We will still need to wait a few weeks to see how it works...

I agree 100%. And yes, I too would like to see some studies done in New York.

A huge factor in imposing the lockdowns in the first place was fear of the unknown and lack of preparedness. We had to buy time, at least in states like ours.

As we know more about the coronavirus, including getting accurate numbers on the number of people infected and the number of people dying, we can become better prepared for resuming life as we know it, even if said life will forever be changed.
