TopCat, like I said before, more data is better than less.

Even unreliable data can be taken for what it's worth. For example, that Stanford study that estimates an astronomical 45-50X the number of reported coronavirus infections was pretty bad. It makes me suspect that the authors of that study were trying to make headlines.

But when I took their numbers, accounted for the false positives that the test maker reported, and applied a bit of napkin math, I got to a factor of 10-11X, which is still significant.

I'll grant that there are coronavirus deaths that have not been counted but, in my opinion, those are easily offset by deaths that are counted as coronavirus deaths that were in fact caused by the underlying illness.

.... more than just offset

...the daily % positives in the various NYC boroughs are approaching the 21% figure claimed by the antibody test in NYC. I've been following it on a daily basis and during the explosive phase, % positives in the borough of Queens and Brooklyn were above 50% on a daily basis (not considering any test delay)................they have come down to the high 20s%.........

New: Study of 318 outbreaks in China found transmission occurred out-of-doors in only one, involving just 2 cases. Most occurred in home or public transport. Raises key chance for states to move services outdoors (religious, gym classes, restaurants, etc)
