sense we are making this a more complicated deal than it needs be.. Look back to Llyod George at end of the Great war.. this is simply a continuation.. The area remaining destabalised (screw the folks living there.. PRETEND it's a war of freedom.. JOKE) is crucial.. First it was about blocking Russian/Soviet ambitions to a port on the Indian Ocean.. A Brit and subsequently US goal.. Now it is really more about blocking China.. Russia having reverted to near 1917 importance... A part is China's backup plan.. a pipeline from Iran is job one. Not stoppable without a close to OPEN DECLARATION OF WAR BY the US.... and all the $hit that is implied therein.. This is big stuff.. sanctions and Hormuz are sideshows... US support for various puppets there (Shaw, Saddam, Pakistan, Afghanistan after replacing the Brits as global hegemon post WWII) has continually backfired. but I suspect they expect this) as constant turmoil is key... and their goal.. lives are cheep.. non American lives even cheaper... This is the US deep state.. Mr. Trump and his antecedents are merely cameo players in the great game of realpolitik.. Eisenhower was sapient.. I have posted before.. irrespective of GOP/DEM.. bombs rain down... The rest is noise ... follow the money...The real powers don't care about people.. we are assets / liabilities .. nothing more
