That is an insult to Gene Roddenberry's vision of a better, enlightened, universe. Gene would have agreed with many of Bernie's ideas including universal healthcare and a universal basic income. In Star Trek the capitalist races are generally despised and portrayed as physically ugly and unpleasant to be around and ridiculed. The reason why communist/socialism tends to lead towards authoritarianism is that people are easily corruptible. Gene envisioned a time where that was no longer the case. A time when human thinking had evolved beyond constantly focus on getting ahead at the expense of others. I mean it is just a show, but just saying... FWIW: Jesus would also agree with Bernie on many things. Not that it matters in Amerika....
