I'm a person who question questions. And listens to all answers no matter how wild, while my attention span can still focus on a topic. And I question "common sense" because common sense can tell you the earth is flat, there is no zero or infinity, and that more carbon is good for the planet.

I try to filter through the lens of logical fallacies and cognitive biases, my own included. We all deliver the bullshit sometimes, and hopefully recognize that and grow from it. Along with history, logic and behavioral economics should be taught in high school (as should music and art of course.)

At the Big Bell when we sold a system and services for too much money, we wrote the RFP (Request For Proposal, a form where multiple vendors could bid on a "level playing field, wink-wink.) That's the goal of all salespeople; own the customer's questions in advance and then you can have an edge over any competition. Own the narrative; no worries. Own the audience.

That's how it works; people along the value chains don't even know the game is rigged.

Like big ticket business, and little con men like the Trump family, Politicians have learned the game now.

In a press conference, Trump yaks his his orange ass off to own the narrative, with his repeated snarky answers. He deeply wants to have a Whitehouse press corp. that sticks to the approved script. Because when reporters lead him off the talking points; they OWN him -- revealing for all to see what a dummy he truly is. And how vicious he is when exposed.

What stable genius brags that he is a "stable genius? What confident dude responds defensively to the "small hands" jokes?

Now I forgot where I was going with this. :-)
