M thompson,

The technicals are extremely high on MSFT, and basicly its been a CLASS 1 SELL for the last few days. The day before the announcement of the split, it had hints of topping off and would pull back.

After the announcement it is still a CLASS 1 SELL but it is also borderline technical breakout to the upside. Technical breakouts to me basicly mean that the technicals are at their maximum, but the stock continues up, making the technicals useless at that time. I cannot predict technical breakouts.

I think, since the the split date is FEB 6(correct me if Im wrong), MSFT will have upside pressure until then. Sure it could pull back but will it be enough to be profitable with PUTS. I would wait until after the split when MSFT may not be as influenced by the news.
