There seems to be one difference in these sub $1000. They are not home PCs. They are network PCs. They come with a network card and a 2G HD. Made for small businesses who want to increase their PCs at a low cost. If I ran a business, I don't think I'd be as much interested in buying large monitors and such. Get 'em on the local network and do it cheap.
