Dutch PTT Telecom Provides 'VoiceDialling' Utilizing Glenayre's MVP Platform CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Glenayre Technologies today announced that PTT Telecom, the Netherland's leading telecommunications operator, is using Glenayre's MVP(R) modular voice processing system to provide ''VoiceDialling,'' a new voice activated dialing service, to subscribers of PTT Telecom's GSM cellular network. ''VoiceDialling'' enables PTT Telecom subscribers to place calls from their mobile phone without taking their eyes off the road or their hands off the wheel. Subscribers dial the simple access code 555 (or use speed dialing). Then, subscribers merely say a telephone number or a name from their personal directory, and the Glenayre MVP system places the call. Subscribers can program up to 40 frequently-called numbers into their personal directory, ensuring that important numbers are always available and making it easy to call family, friends and business associates. Subscribers can also conveniently add services such as traffic information or directory assistance to the personal directory.
