Then why did the republicans lose the mid-term elections so badly? Why did Obama lie to the voters... telling them he was a populist... in order to win... when that was a lie ? And then was he a populist... or did he give Wall Street everything they wanted ? What role do the media play ? The media matter... and in spite of being "all in" on anti-Trump... people are figuring out that the media ARE the establishment... they are the voice of the corporate overlords... telling the sheep what to think ? The Republicans DIDN'T lose the mid-terms badly ? Historically... they did remarkably well in holding what they have... far better than average... even including not losing the Senate..? The next election... has a different set of dynamics... as have others similarly in history...
