I suspect that the reason it is quiet over here is the wealth of information on the CPQ board. Friday, it was mostly about DEC.

Yes but what I did was sell DEC Feb 60 puts for 4 1/4 on announcement day and DEC Jan/99 80 strike leaps at 3 to 1 ratio for 1 7/8 each for total of 9.875. I bought back Feb 60 puts at 3/16 and sold equal number of March 60 puts with intent to go to 65 puts if stock climbs. I will continue to roll 60 puts if stock stays below 62. Cash is a blessing with this kind of strategy. In the mean while it takes cpq at 52 by next Jan for the naked calls to be a loser. Also margin is 20% for the puts and only 10% for the calls.
