Many years ago when i was just a wee Voodoo, and not a Dr. Voodoo,,,, I once spent an afternoon staring into a UV light box looking at stained molecular biology stuffs like the now automated tools we use for various tests like RT-PCR etc. These were the precursors of the now microarrays and all manner of sci-fi stuff we have today.

Suffice it to say,,, i woke up about 1 am, not able to open my eyes, or close them,,, tears pouring out,,,, it felt like someone had poured molten sand in both of them.

After arriving at the ER, the attending asked what I had been working with that day. I explained to them that I was a chemist. and started with Ammonia, and worked my way up to zinc, at which time they decided it might be good to introduce me to the Morgan Lens.

Now I don't know about you,,, but this was a lesson for me. That perhaps all doctors are not your friends. As it turns out that UV-A-B kinda gave me eyeballs a sunburn. After about two days I would recover. But I have never forgotten the Morgan Lens and what it did for me.

Let us not discuss the Foley Catheter either.
These medical people are sadistic.
There is something very wrong with them.
I'm just saying.

On said subject of LED's and UV's etc... such is widely used. but plenty of room for copycats. many good ideas in the UV disinfection space. Air intakes, and outtakes etc. Weed biz has been doing for quite some time. cleanlight.nl

Indoor central air-- done a lot. Is best some other visions of HVAC, but have many ideas in this space. Panasonic has patents in this space.

Our device is an accelerated orthodontic treatment device operating at near-infrared band. Not a teeth-whitening device. But, yes, UV light has applications, and there should be an application of UV at dental offices. As the light is not great for humans, should really only be on when no one around, apparently.

A recent example ...
