Will be fun and entertaining to see him try to square that circle between the Green Party and his ostensibly more Libertarian roots... My guess is that he's fundamentally misunderstood recent history... responding to it now by moving more and more away from the intrinsic relevance and stability of a principled centrism. As it appears the center is being abandoned for the fringes... he's triangulating which fringe to adhere to... when the issue is that observing much of the political leadership now abandoning the center for what they really believe... isn't really moving the center at all... other than in disabusing the centrists of seeing any "value" in attachment to those now exposing themselves as liars of various stripes. Republican's, having thrown out the RINO old guard [whose candidates ran against socialism while enabling and agreeing to its implementation, only as national socialism (corporate welfare in modern parlance) by "failing" in their resistance to it]... have "mostly" completed that transition already... from the media driven insistence on a brand of media dependent faux perfection that is enabled by the media driven fictionalization of a personality, but also in parallel the fictionalization of policies, converting them to public caricatures of themselves... in which history and flaws are ignored (or in the opposite, manufactured as required), to enable misleading people into supporting the opposite of what they believe. Democrats instead... are doubling down. Not content with, and not having learned anything from the failure of their serial fictionalization of the evils of their opponents... whether Trump as "Russia, Russia, Russia"... "impeach, impeach, impeach" etc., etc., all of it entirely based only on fabrications created by Democrats... including corrupting the bureaucracy... Obama's IRS, FBI, FISA egregiously abusing his opponents civil rights. The now too obvious McCarthyism of political operatives smearing a Clarence Thomas or Brett Cavanaugh... as also true of Trump... hasn't really won its reward yet... But, only Democrats remain blind to the implications of their leaders choices... even when seeing the same evils implemented against themselves ? Watching Sanders repeatedly cheated... causes them no pause to consider the impact of validating the appointment and empowerment of those cheaters ? It's the wildly irresponsible political equivalent of refusing to wear a mask... ensuring the body politic will be infected, corrupted, and made terminally ill... when the immune system finally rebels against the invasion.
