To quote Thomas Sowell “it is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.” I’ll give it a shot regardless:
donsurber.blogspot.com Obama almost destroyed America

On June 1, 2016, PBS held a townhall meeting with Obama. He was his usual arrogant and elitist self. One answer was particularly childish.
The question was "My name is Eric Cottonham and I'm representing the Steelworkers Union, Local 1999. And I'm trying to find out, what do we have left far us — all of our jobs are leaving Indianapolis. I see here you're doing a lot of things, but in Indianapolis, there's nothing there for us. I mean, what's next? I mean, what can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs has left or in the process of leaving, sir."
The answer was long-winded and you can read it here along with the rest of the townhall questions and answers.
He began answering with a lie: "Well, in fact, we've seen more manufacturing jobs created since I've been president than anytime since the 1990s. That's a fact."
In 8 years as president, the number of manufacturing jobs fell by 901,000.
The answer is best remembered for this:
"But for those folks who have lost their job right now because a plant went down the Mexico, that isn't going to make you feel better. And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back, and when somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I'm not going to advertise for, that he's going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?
"There's — there's no answer to it. He just says, 'Well, I'm going to negotiate a better deal.' Well, how — what — how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is he doesn't have an answer."
Millions of people later mocked the hell out of Obama for his foolish magic wand comment, and deservedly so. Until Red China (intentionally or not) unleashed the COVID-19 pandemic on the world, we were up 601,000 manufacturing jobs under President Donald John Trump.
But what has always struck me is the junior high nature of his reference to President Trump.
Obama said "...like the person you just mentioned who I'm not going to advertise..."
Months later he dropped the mic by replying to a Donald Trump tweet with "at least I will go down as a president."
So hip.
So cool.
So with it.
So wrong.
We now know that Obama was and still is obsessed with President Trump. In June 2016, his flunkies at the FBI lied to a federal judge to get a warrant to spy on Donald Trump.
The FBI always lies to get such warrants but surprisingly, the judge turned them down this time. Weeks later, they lied again and this time they got a warrant. Thus, Obama wiretapped President Trump.
On November 8, only Hillary was angrier about Americans daring to elect Donald John Trump president to clean up the mess Obama made of the government, of their rights as citizens, and of the economy.
Obama decided to sabotage the Trump administration. He ordered classes on how to resist the new president from within.
On January 6, 2017, Obama planted the Russian dossier on President-elect Trump at an intelligence meeting. Obama tipped off CNN. A few nights later came the "bombshell" that set the Mueller witch hunt in motion.
Obama tied a ball and chain to his successor, who was harassed for 2 years while Obama sat in Kalorama and laughed. Then came the impeachment. Now this.
The Mueller witch hunt was a terrible moment in American history, equal to the evil of Obama spying on a political opponent. Mueller knew President Trump was innocent but went after his family and friends anyway in an abuse of the power of investigation to ruin lies and reputations.
We now are seeing the facts come to light.
Sara Carter reported, "Longtime Trump ally Roger Stone gave an explosive interview to the Sara Carter Show Monday, revealing that Special Counsel Prosecutor Jeannie Rhee had tried to pressure him on the contents of 29 phone conversations he shared with his good friend President Donald Trump during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. He told this reporter that he refused to lie to the FBI and Special Counsel prosecutors against his friend and in the end that’s why the prosecutors brought erroneous charges against him that had nothing to do with their now-debunked Russia probe.
"Stone, who is supposed to begin his 3-year jail sentence Friday, has seen his life and that of his family turned upside down. He has lost his home, his life savings, his insurance and his ability to make an income. He said in the end, he wonders if he’ll survive his jail sentence as a 67-year-old man due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while others like disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti have been released for 90 days due to the outbreak."
He was not alone.
Carter wrote, "There are similar circumstances between Stone’s case and that of National Security Advisor Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, whose case is now being investigated by St. Louis U.S. Jeff Jensen, appointed by Attorney General William Barr. Stone and Flynn were both targeted by Mueller’s prosecutors, to include Andrew Weissmann, Jeannie Rhee and others, whose political affiliations with Hillary Clinton were seen in both political donations, political affiliations and employment connections. Rhee, for example, was a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice and was also on Clinton’s legal team defending the Clinton Foundation before joining Mueller’s team."
Bill Barr and his lackey John Durham are huffing and puffing about indictments coming. We shall see. Given the Department of Justice's record, maybe some lowly FBI agent will receive a parking ticket.
The press knew this all along. Not the reporters but the brass: Jeff Zucker, Carlos Slim, Jeff Bezos, and other media owners and CEOs.
The fish rots from the head. In presidential history, we have never had a bigger rotter than Obama. |
