Arthur,

Techsmith has a free program formerly known as Jing which allows one to capture anything on screen and either save it to the cloud and post the link or save it to your machine to use SI's upload image option.. the cloud is easier... as in less work... less clutter.. techsmith.com
It saves the image as a .png compatible with SI and you can annotate it as I did here on the Message 32700439 Covid thread.. regardless of whether you save it to the cloud or locally on your machine...

SI Ron told me about this program YEARS ago .. would not be without it :) :)

Your image comes out as this gobbly gook as in it's not really an image file... apis.mail.yahoo.com@.id==VjN-0pc5CY3cHbEBHGezvW32B5m5XLfIrr4FvHOVVOUbk4uvTakRieGOuztLVrZJYiPtdq5oallNHwIJGZGh0bRaZBh-J5C6LyUnkpuuSevalNc/messages/@.id==APEv1HV27ONIXqioIAl14JJSpSI/content/parts/@.id==2/thumbnail?appId=YMailNorrinLaunch

Been out of that line for a decade but pretty sure sites can tell if you are freeloading their images and some block it...in ways if they so choose...

alternatively if you are using firefox it has a somewhat less sophisticated clipping tool that works fine but requires the image to be saved to your machine and use option 1for uploading an image to SI.. Other browsers may have extensions similar.. I dunno as I only use Firefox for most things except Chrome for Netflix...on the desktop..

I just used Jing saving to the ether (Their own Screencast cloud) :) for the following from SI's image insert routine...
