Prudential Securities initiated coverage of the following semiconductor manufacturers today with a "Buy" rating: INTC LSI ALTR XLNX LSSC EXAR and BMRG. ALTR was added to its Single Best Idea list. They also initiated coverage of ATML, ANAD and AMD with a "Hold" rating.
