Rio, You have timing is worse then mine. 96 was an important milestone the reason I got back in is that I could see DELL going through it with little no pain with earnings coming up we should get back to 100s soon.

"Dell is shut out of the high end."

What about all the other enterprise solutions providers such as EDS or the large consulting firms? Do they need servers and PCs to implement their solutions? Who will they buy these boxes from? CPQ? HWP? IBM? Why buy from the competitor when they can buy the best "value" machine from an independant. Dell that is. And Dell is not shut out of the high end. If you haven't noticed, that is how they are improving their margins, by becoming more of a player in the server business.

I thought that someone posted that it is not smart to short Dell. Humm.

re: short again today at 96

If you had only waited another couple of hours you could have shorted at 97 1/2. Or waited a couple of days to short at 106.

oh well. If you are going to short this stock, try to be a bit wiser about it... wait until after earnings. (You don't have to toast the marshmallow while holding it in your hand, you know.)
