Yep, he called that one very well! It looks like a classic reversal pattern. We don't deal with the pride monster as much, either. Some people get very attached to their initial calls, and it's very hard for them to publicly change their stance. When trading, you don't have that luxury. You damn well better learn that the only time you are right is when the chart validates it, hence you better be very nimble and be willing to change sides in an instant.
