Well, the light is actually a study on UV underway that had already been announced, and I suspect he had seen that. It is not at all a bad idea for a trial, and could possibly provide some ability to get rid of some internal infection. The "blood box" is another possibility that should be further investigated and was abandoned years ago solely because we had antibiotics and vaccines.

Disinfectant in Trump's mind -- and in the minds of most ordinary people, is something that "kills germs". That is why it was necessary for Jonathan Karl to convert it into "Lysol" to make a story out of it. It wouldn't do just to have a person getting their body disinfected (the distinction being that we usually disinfect countertops, but it really means killing the "germs" found there). That is the concept Trump was trying to convey and I'm sure everyone was fine until the newsman threw "Lysol" into the mix.
