My basis in my decades-old AAPL, adding in the upcoming 82 cent dividend is -$20.29. Every $1.04 share I bought has paid me $21.33 in dividends. What? The dividend is going up to $0.82??? You know what that means! We'll have to pay more taxes!!! Darn that Apple whose market cap is the GDP of some small countries - maybe now with the virus, several small countries. They're not as thoughtful and considerate as many other stocks who have recently suspended their dividend! (This is the *tankwatch* board...) Okay, Mr. taxman, I'll have to pony up more come 2021 April 15.
