That is not the issue. Power corrupts. That is the first thing they teach in political science. If the FBI was ten guys with the same power the FBI has now, they would be corrupted by that power. There are only two ways to reduce the corruption there. Abolish the FBI, or start prosecuting all the crimes these FBI scumbags are committing. Look at how those Gestapo like officers treated that lady because she sent her kid on a play date. They were drunk with power.

build a new system from scratch I've been thinking the same thing for a while now. I'd make it so all current supervisors and above are ineligible for the new Agency (get jobs pounding sand). Make prior military service mandatory for everyone including the lawyers. Current line officers can be slowly integrated into the new organization. All assignments within the agency can last no more than three years - make them move to something else (this would be to discourage the rampant incestuousness infecting the FBI, CIA, etc.). CF Rebel
