Gregory, There might be some possibility of making a DELL/SUNW merger work if McNealy was removed as President. This would be hard to do since Ihe weakened the Board of Directors back around 1990-1991. But it might be possible. The corporate culture is still radically different than DELL's. I do not know how that could be addressed. Also, thier manufacturing operations are not consistent with DELLs. There would have to be some wrenching changes in the way business is done. I think one of thier corporate officers came from SUNW so he probably understands the culture and the internal politics of SUNW.
