Iceburg,

Why is ANCR too small a company to promote FC?
The answer lies in their pathetic inability to capitalize when they had the chance! They were, without a doubt, the premier fibre channel company around and blew their only opportunity to be a major player in the switch market. It's all about sales and marketing. ANCR, correct me if I'm wrong, continues to "loose" money and, as a result, can't afford adequate marketing . Critical errors have given Brocade the leadership and ANCR will be lucky to pick up the scraps. The existence of other companies will, at this point, only make it more difficult for ANCR to survive. You're correct, however, in the respect that it will help Brocade because they now have everything ANCR always wanted: marketing power generated through exploding sales growth.

If and when FC "explodes", who do you think the OEM's are going to go to first? If you so desperately want to be involved in fibre channel switching, there will be plenty of time to jump in on the Brocade IPO.

Love,
Joe
