Yes, I was actually very surprised when my colleague told me that he and his wife had been in Central Park at 9-10 o'clock at night. I always thought it was a place you avoided after dark. But he said that you regular saw police patrol cars in the streets and pairs of police officers on foot patrol keeping the streets safe. As we know, Bratton and Giuliani, followed the "No Broken Windows" rule, and no sleeping in doorways and alleyways. If you stop crime being committed for relatively petty things then you stop the petty criminals GRADUATING to higher levels of Crime. It never ceases to amaze me that when such procedures were so successful, that you then get arseholes, like the De Blasios of this world, who come along and do EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE AND THEN EXPECT TO GET A BETTER RESULT !!! And you then have to wonder what do those people have BETWEEN THEIR EARS WHO VOTE FOR SUCH INCOMPETENT MORONS !!
