Great post, all very excellent points... just one comment on the black hole illusion, when flying at night when visibility is near zero, this is why the pilot is supposed to rely on his instruments and not on his senses...

Human senses are adapted for use on the ground and not up in the air, therefore navigating by sensory input alone during flight can be dangerous: sensory input does not always accurately reflect the movement of the aircraft, causing sensory illusions, these illusions can be extremely dangerous for pilots...

The same can be said for these markets...

No one should fly or trade these markets merely by the seat of his pants, that will surely get the pilot into serious and possibly deadly trouble and the trader into serious losses... as of late last week, market timing instruments are showing a possible market decline...

So, let's see where we go from here...

Be careful, nothing has to happen. While the recession is a given, the market is another thing entirely, as it has shown us the last 3 weeks or so. There are a lot of crosscurrents at play right now. Good luck.
