Hello Tom,
Thanks for your post also. I was not aware that others were building Alpha, that's a very interesting point. It may be consistent with what I perceive as Compaq's desire to continue to put pressure on Intel by using alternate chip sources (and buying power via CPQ's size). My guess is that Samsung and especially Mitsubishi could provide capacity for Compaq, whereas AMD and Cyrix are question marks in that area on the PC side.
