Yep my experience as well, COVID-19 they say, however I am seeing products that are way over priced. I was looking at Dove soap bars for my mom, she wanted some, in Canada Amazon wants 18 dollar for 4 bars, I can get them from a national discount supermarket for 9 bucks for 6 bars. Amazon is getting really bad up here for delivery and prices are getting way too high on almost everything now.

I've noticed a big change in Prime delivery also....

I keep hoping when this virus thing cools down, they will go back to what they were before.

In the meantime, I get great service from Costco, Walgreens and Walmart.

Hey Smoothsail! Good seeing you.

It's been a while.

My problem currently is with Best Buy. I ordered an watch. I didn't notice that the shipping address defaulted to my old office address. Got an e-mail Monday saying it was delivered. I checked around. Nope. I checked with the old office and they said they refused the package. Tried calling BBY to get them to redirect the package but wait times were estimated over an hour. I did the chat option, which took about 1/2 hr. was told they were redirecting the package. This morning, got an e-mail saying they couldn't redirect it because the minimum price on the item has to be $500. Email said to call Customer Service. I did and the suggested wait time was over an hour.

I guess I'll just let the carrier take the package back to Best Buy and hope they credit my account.

I still want the watch. Probably buy it off Costco. It's $10 cheaper there.

SS, nice to see you posting again!

I think Amazon was hit with a huge flood of new buyers during their worker trim-down/workplace redesign efforts over the virus.

That's the downside of their enormous name recognition: People who don't normally shop online knew to try them first. Prime members are not being shoved to the side by the company but by the crowd of new buyers/hoarders, and also by backed-up shippers. I'm one of them. I ordered an item on April 24th. It has an expected delivery date from June 15 - July 7. And it says it's shipped.

Amazon is like a world champion power-lifter whose knees are suddenly buckling from added weight when he's lost weight himself over an illness.

We're all going to have to be patient and accept this reality for the time being - however long that will be.

‘The End Of Conservative Books’: Amazon Quietly Bans Books They Deem Offensive, ‘Hate Speech’

Daily Wire, by Amanda Prestigiacomo

Original Article

Conservatives are sounding the alarm about an updated Amazon policy that bans books the ubiquitous billion-dollar company deems offensive or includes so-called “hate speech.”As noted by The Daily Wire, Amazon has ramped up its censorship on conservative views in recent weeks. For example, a popular documentary on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was banned from their streaming service this past week. Before that move, the company deplatformed conservative Ryan Anderson’s book critical of gender theory, “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement.”
