Right.. :) We should get an update on Thursday when MVIS reports..

More seriously though, hard to put a value on MVIS.. I mean, although public, this has been the longest running tech startup that has gone through various tech niches.. Last few days, insane volume, few daily turnover of s/o and current market cap of $150 m or so..

They have 500 + tech patents, carried over losses of $573 million that acquirer can write off and for sure has MSFT has a client who are using their product in Hololens2 .. In addition, they do have some cutting edge display technology, that is ready for OEM such as GOOG, AMZON only if some one steps up.. In addition, other nifty tech like home based consumer LIDAR and upcoming Auto LIDAR etc..

FWIW, a disclaimer.. I do own some shares from much higher prices so I would love it if some one offers $8.. LOL.. You never know.. Keeping my fingers crossed..

I think EVERYONE would be extremely happy (OK, there's always someone who wouldn't be) if I not only got back to my cost basis, but got back to the cost basis with a reasonable ROI from each time I bought the stock. Alright, I'll make it easier because a good ROI on those shares from 2000 would be ridiculous, great, but ridiculous. I'll take a compound ROI of 10% on the average cost basis from, oh, say, 2010. And, no, I haven't calculated it because it the number is moot. Where we are is where we are. Even getting up to a Present Value based on Future Revenues (5 year) discounted for Risk could be very, very nice. Wishing us all good luck.
