Relaxing Nursing home quarantines makes absolutely no sense, but ultimately, it is the Governors who have the final say on what the rules are, as evidenced by the differences state by state on the re-opening. As to Trump, he did his job. He shut things down very early. You must remember, because we all will continue to remind you, that it was the liberals who called Trump a racists and xenophobic for shutting flights down from China in late January. He did that. ALL Democrats would have delayed until Feb or later. Pelosi was urging everyone to come out to Chinatown and congregate in late February. That's what Democrats would have done. It would have been "hug a Chinese day" every day until people started dying en masse. Instead, Trump acted swiftly and saved lives. Then he used all his authority to ramp up all supplies needed, so fast and so large that all the makeshift hospitals and beds and ventilators built in several of the states have gone unused. Even the Mercy ship in New York left, because it was barely used. Trump did his part. Why don't you guys ask the Democrat Governor Cuomo why he has done such a shitty job in New York, given that he has been governor since 2011 and has underinvested in both health care facilities and pandemic preparedness for his state? Most other states weren't in as a bad a shape. Massachusetts has a lot of cases as well, but they have less than half the deaths per million than New York. That difference is in part due to the competence of the Charles Baker, the Republican Governor of Massachusetts, as compared to the lack of competence of Cuomo. You and your party need to look inward. "Orange Man Bad" isn't cutting the mustard anymore. Your own party's incompetence at pretty much everything they touch is becoming glaringly obvious to anyone with a brain.
