Carson -- Caracas: Wednesday, February 5, 1997 -- The (Toledo, Ohio) NorAm Gaming & Entertainment Corporation has announced the signing of an option to purchase a casino property in the commercial center of the Caribbean mall located in Puerto La Cruz. The site is approximately 4400 square meters and is attached to a 200 room, 5-star hotel which will qualify it for a casino license when enabling legislation is passed by a joint session of the Venezuelan Congress and Senate, expected later this month. In the meantime NorAm is seeking partnership to co-develop the project and is said to be in the bidding for most of 12 casino licenses to be granted.
