Well, Value Line in its October 24, 1997 stated that "Priority One is to increase the yield of K6 processors running 233 megahertz. A special task force is focusing on why only 10% of third quarter output made the grade." Then, if you listened to the 4th Quarter conference call, Sanders kept emphasizing that it was extremely important to increase the yield rate and that he could not give output projections to the analysts because he didn't know by how much the yield rate would improve. Sanders did stress that AMD has put its best people on correcting this problem.
