Not only that, but the idiots will be disqualifying approx 50% or more of the population by the time this is all over. Some testing is already showing infection rates of up to 26%.

We still don't know everything about the virus yet. With them now reporting that young people are having blood clots all over and some dropping dead from stroke after appearing fine, the military probably doesn't want to risk a bunch of recruits dropping dead during PT.
Once we know more, they'll probably drop the policy or else modify it.
